How does this work?
HitGaming makes it easy to sell your video games. Simply search our database for the games you want to sell, get an instant quote based on condition, add items to your cart, and we'll email you a prepaid shipping label. Ship your games to us for free, and we'll inspect them and send payment within 24-48 hours. It's that simple!
How do I get paid?
We offer three convenient payment methods: PayPal, Venmo, or check by mail. When you confirm your quote before shipping, you'll select your preferred payment method. Once your items arrive and are inspected, we'll process payment to that account within 24-48 hours.
How long does payment take?
After we receive your items, inspection typically takes 2-3 business days. Once inspection is complete and condition is verified, payment is processed within 24-48 hours via your chosen method. For PayPal and Venmo, funds usually appear in your account within a few hours. Check payments are mailed immediately and typically arrive within 5-7 business days.
Do you pay for shipping?
Yes! We cover all shipping costs. When you confirm your quote, we'll email you a prepaid shipping label. You don't pay anything—just pack your items securely and ship them using the label we provide. Return shipping is completely free.
What condition do my games need to be in?
We buy games in all conditions! Our three pricing tiers accommodate different conditions:
- New/Sealed: Factory sealed, never opened or played
- Complete in Box (CIB): Opened and played, but includes all original materials (game, case, manual, inserts)
- Loose: Just the game cartridge or disc, no case or manual
Even games with wear and tear or minor damage have value to us. Games must be in working condition (disc/cartridge is playable), but cosmetic condition is less important than functionality.
What if my game isn't in your database?
Our database includes thousands of games across all major platforms, but we're always adding more. If you don't find your game, you have two options: contact us at sell@hitgaming.com with details about the game (title, platform, condition), and we may be able to provide a custom quote. Alternatively, check back soon as we regularly update our inventory.
Can I sell consoles and accessories?
Absolutely! We buy gaming consoles (systems), controllers, cables, chargers, protective cases, stands, and other gaming accessories. Not every accessory may be in our database, but we're actively seeking certain items. Search our database to see what we're currently buying. For unlisted items, contact sell@hitgaming.com for a custom quote.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept three payment methods for your convenience:
- PayPal: Instant digital transfer to your PayPal account
- Venmo: Fast peer-to-peer transfer
- Check: Mailed to your address
Choose your preferred method when confirming your quote, and we'll use that for payment.
How are your buy prices determined?
Our prices are based on current market value, considering factors like game rarity, demand, age, and condition. We monitor the collector market and adjust our prices regularly to ensure fair compensation. Our pricing is competitive with other game buyers—we want your business and offer strong prices for quality items.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes. Once you've confirmed your quote and received the shipping label, you can cancel anytime before you ship your items. However, once items are shipped to us, the quote is locked in and you're committed to the sale. If you change your mind after shipping but before items are received, contact us immediately at sell@hitgaming.com to discuss options.
What happens if my items don't match the quoted condition?
Our team carefully inspects every item upon arrival. If an item's actual condition significantly differs from the condition you selected, we may offer an adjusted price. We'll contact you with a new quote before processing payment. You can accept the adjusted quote, or if you prefer, we'll return the items to you at no charge. We always give you the option to reconsider before finalizing the sale.
How should I pack my games for shipping?
Proper packing ensures your items arrive in great condition:
- Use a sturdy box with padding (bubble wrap, foam, or packing paper)
- Wrap each game individually in bubble wrap
- For complete games, avoid stacking heavy items on top of fragile cases
- Fill empty space with packing material to prevent shifting
- Consider using multiple smaller boxes if shipping a large collection
- Use the prepaid label we provide and drop off at any shipping location
Is there a minimum or maximum number of games I can sell?
No minimum or maximum! You can sell a single game or an entire collection. Larger collections might take slightly longer to inspect, but you'll still receive payment within our standard timeframe. For very large collections (50+ items), you may want to split them into multiple shipments or contact us at sell@hitgaming.com first.
