How we grade a PS Vita game card

Full offerA clean game card with its label in good condition and a case with the cover art. Light wear on the plastic costs nothing, and the manual is a plus, not a requirement.

A quarter or half offMarker or writing on the plastic of the card is a quarter off. A sticker or writing on the label, or a peeling label, is half off.

No offerA label that is missing, ripped or faded, a cracked or chipped card, a card that will not start, or a reproduction.

A Vita game card is a tiny solid-state card with nothing to scratch and no battery to die, so the label and the plastic are what we grade, and most used cards pass at the full offer. The cards are small enough to lose, which is one reason the physical releases of this system are worth what they are. A card without its case is still bought, at the Loose price. The limited editions, the Japanese RPG localizations and the physical releases of download games lead the way. How much can I sell PS Vita games for?

Do you buy Vita games without the case?

Yes. A loose game card is Loose and has its own price. The small blue case with its cover art moves it to Boxed, and the manual is a plus rather than a requirement.

What if a Vita game card will not load?

Light dust and light wear cost nothing; every card is cleaned here. Writing on the plastic is a quarter off, and a sticker or writing on the label or a peeling label is half off. A card that still will not start is paid at $0 or returned to you at your cost, so test each one before you ship.

How much can I sell my PS Vita for?

Our base payouts start at $84 for a working unit, with the OLED original and the Slim on their own cards. A drifting analog stick, dead pixels, burn-in, a cracked or scratched screen, dead buttons, a bad speaker (crackles, too quiet or no sound) or a swollen battery means we cannot buy that unit; smaller wear is itemized on the card. Because a Vita has a lithium battery, the whole order ships by ground on a UPS label with the battery kit, handed to a staffed counter rather than a drop box.

Should I sell PS Vita games online or trade them in?

A trade-in counter pays store credit at a walk-in customer's price, and almost none take the Vita any more. We pay cash after inspection and sell online, so our offers are usually higher, especially on the limited editions, and you see the offer before you ship. Here is a side-by-side.
