How we grade a DS game card

Full offerA clean game card with its label in good condition, in a case with the cover art. Light wear on the plastic costs nothing, and the manual is a plus, not a requirement.

A quarter or half offMarker or writing on the plastic card takes a quarter off. A sticker or writing on the label, or a peeling label, takes half.

No offerA missing, ripped or faded label, a cracked or chipped card, a card that will not play, or a reproduction card, which the Pokemon titles attract more than any other.

A DS game card is the size of a postage stamp and keeps its saves on a chip, so there is no battery to die and nothing to scratch: the label and the plastic are what we grade, and most used cards pass at the full offer. Fakes are the thing to watch for on the Pokemon games, because a reproduction card pays nothing. A card without its case is still bought, at the Loose price. Where can I sell my old DS games?

Online, here, from anywhere in the lower 48. Price them on this page, print the free label if the order is $50 or more, and leave the box with USPS or UPS. No store to drive to, no store credit: cash by PayPal, Venmo, eCheck or Mailed Check once the cards have been tested.

Are DS games worth any money?

Yes, far more than the size suggests. The Pokemon games, the RPGs and the late releases from the last years of the system have climbed for years, and a complete case adds to almost every one. The licensed kids' games that sold by the million are worth a few dollars each. The table above shows the DS games we are paying the most for today.

How much can I sell my DS games for?

What this page shows you, before you ship. Search a title and three offers appear, loose, boxed and new, with the date they were shown. The offer you accept at checkout is locked for 14 days while you ship, and it is what you are paid once the card matches the condition you picked.

Do you buy DS games without the case?

Yes. A loose game card is Loose and has its own price. The white case with its cover art moves it to Boxed, and the manual is a plus rather than a requirement.

What if a DS game card will not play?

Dust and light wear cost nothing; every card is cleaned. Writing on the plastic takes a quarter off, and a sticker or writing on the label or a peeling label takes half. A card that still will not start is paid at $0 or returned to you at your cost, so test each one before you ship.

Can I sell my Nintendo DS Lite or DSi too?

Yes, every model, as long as it powers on, charges and plays. Our base payouts start at $21; light yellowing, a scratched or yellowed screen, a cracked LCD, a broken hinge or a worn Circle Pad cap are deductions, while heavy yellowing, dead pixels, dead buttons, a bad speaker (crackles, too quiet or no sound), a failed charging port or a swollen battery means we cannot buy that unit. Every DS has a lithium battery, so the whole order ships by ground on a UPS label with the battery kit, handed to a staffed counter rather than a drop box.

What is the best way to sell DS games, online or at a trade-in counter?

A trade-in counter pays store credit at a walk-in customer's price, and many have stopped taking DS cards at all.
